What Are YOU Reading?

Whatcha readin', kiddo?I want to know.

Is there a hot knitting blog? A gluten-free living blog you dig? A rant, rousing environment or something just plain’ ol silly?

My best reads come on the recommendations of my community…so out with it! Here’s my list of current faves:

The Oatmeal (biggest laughs + biggest time-waster in the history of mankind = FTW!)

Janet Reid, Literary Agent (snark + confidence = views I appreciate and a nice wakeup call in my Google Reader. And her Twitter avatar is a shark. Hells yes.)

The Rude Pundit (no apologies + topical content = just my style and appreciation that he doesn’t pump “popular” lines of thought)

V3 Blog (social media insights + boxer shorts = fresh content in a world that doesn’t need another social media blog…a brand new addition to my reader)

So out with it: old faves, new additions, shit you deleted, what replaced it…do tell. I’m a pervy gal and wanna peep in yo reader. If you like my schiz and wanna never miss any schiz, add this blog to your reader now. You can also be my fan on Facebook. We have mimosas on Sunday and Taco Thursdays!

Oatmeal is a bigger timewaster than FAILBLOG??
  • Try Failbook.com - bigger time waster than both. You'll hate me tomorrow.

I read this blog and others www.paperyandcakery.com because the things she shows are frequently pretty and or yummy!
  • Blogs: V3, Mashable, Altitude Branding, Pharmaphorum. They are in the order of awesome, geeky, attitude, and snooze fest.

I could be cheap and post my own, but that would just be rude!
  • Aw, but you don't really READ yourself - you write yourself :) Thanks for adding your suggestions. More fodder for all of us to check out!

I'm a science geek, so I like iheartguts.com. They have an awesome menstrual cycle poster. Or a plush liver toy. Or t-shirts with guts on them. Cute guts though. Stuff like that.

I also like editorialemergency.com. They have an entertaining newsletter and a great "not our clients" list.

By the way, I don't know any of these people (above) and have never used their services.

Blogs: Clusterflock, The Awl, Coudal Partners.

Books: Just finished "Love All the People", a collection of the comedy acts, writings, and correspondence of Bill Hicks. Highly recommended.
  • Loving The Awl. Thanks for sharing.

I'm all for mimosas, but why limit them to Sunday?
  • I advocate the use of better living through chemistry on all days of the week and have merely chosen Sundays as a token mimosa day. No mimosas were harmed in the making of this comment.

I admit, this book is breezy trash. But it makes me laugh! "Too Much Money" by Domonick Dunne.
  • Sometimes you have to make room for breezy trash! One of my favorite all-time reads is Jeffrey Archer's "As the Crow Flies."
  • I'll check it out. Here's something you'd love. Being a redhead 'n all. Verdict is in. We do have more fun afterall.... http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/...
  • Seriously - who's NOT better off red? :) Great link and a cool post-conference call break for my day.

LOL. I found you through my old friend @ShellyKramer. She's a hoot...even though she's brunette....
  • Geekdad - http://www.wired.com/geekdad/ - I just can't read tech/social media blogs all day
  • Neither can I :) Great link! It's been awhile since I stopped by Wired. Always great content.
